Grief Support

Grief isn't linear

You’re allowed to move at your own pace

I know from experience, there’s no tidy way to do this.

Some days the sadness is enormous. Other days you find yourself laughing with a friend, enjoying something you used to love, and then wondering if you’re allowed to feel okay. You may be handling all the practical things while privately thinking, “How am I supposed to live with what has happened?”

Sometimes it hits you years later

...long after other people assume you should be doing better.

When my husband died, I learned firsthand that grief has its own timing. There is no deadline for learning how to live with a loss.

my approach

I don’t believe your grief needs to be fixed.

I’d rather get curious about what’s there. And I know from experience, there’s no tidy way to do this.

Sadness, anger, guilt, fear, relief, numbness, confusion

...even joy

We can notice what’s happening in your thoughts, emotions, and body without judging it or trying to hurry it along.

grief doesn’t just live in our thoughts.

Our bodies also remember.

That’s why I draw from mindfulness and body-based practices like breathwork, grounding, gentle movement, and journaling. We’ll find practical ways to help you stay connected to yourself when everything feels like too much.

You can deeply miss what was and still be fully alive to what is.

You don’t have to show up ready to “work on your grief.” Just show up. There may be tears, and there may even be laughter. Both are welcome.

How We Can Work Together

Whether you need one conversation, ongoing 1:1 care, or the connection of a group, there’s a place to start.

Calm Your Waters

Sometimes there’s one thing that feels especially heavy, and you need somewhere to bring it. These private sessions give us time to sit with what’s happening, untangle what feels overwhelming, and find practical ways to help you feel a little more grounded in your actual life.

“I love that Amy didn’t try to take the grief away or fix it. Instead, she sat with me in the pain, acknowledged it, and connected with me in it, while helping me understand how I can carry my grief as I begin to build a new life around it.”

Mindful grieving groups

Still Waters

Still Waters is a small-group, Mindful Grieving experience, that brings together meditation, gentle yoga and movement, breathwork, somatic practices, reflection, and connection.

Groups may center around a shared kind of loss, such as widowhood, the death of a parent, or the loss of other loved ones.

Sometimes, being with other people who understand makes a difference.

Each session includes:

  • A Theme and Dharma Talk for Guidance
  • Guided Meditation
  • Journaling
  • Mindful Group Sharing
  • Gentle Yoga and Movement (no previous yoga experience required)

Themes we explore:

  • Grieving in Community
  • Presence & Body Awareness
  • Self-Love & Acceptance
  • Grief as a Teacher
  • Evolution of Identity Through Loss
  • Embracing Change

“The Mindful Grieving Group gave me a safe container to slow down, be held by others, and connect with the spiritual side of my grief. I especially loved the journal prompts and recorded meditations to deepen into that weeks’ topic.”

Maybe moving forward doesn’t mean leaving anything behind.

One of the biggest shifts in my own experience came when I loosened my grip on how I thought grief was supposed to look and the idea that I should be further along by a certain point.

The people we love matter.
The lives we had matter.
And there’s no deadline for finding our way forward.

What do you want to carry with you?
What feels meaningful now?
What might it look like to keep loving what has been while also being alive to what is?

You don’t need to have those answers. We can stay curious together.

If this feels like the kind of care you’ve been looking for

I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

Come as you are, friend.
